SIP Third Party Phone Configuration on CUCM

Cisco SCCP phones register with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) via their
MAC address where SIP third party phones use digest authentication. SIP digest
authentication is part of the RFC3261 SIP specification

SCCP phones are registered by MAC address, while SIP third-party phones require the
configuration of an end user that is associated to the phone as the digest authentication
user on that phone.

1-Configure an end user in CUCM administration and associate the end user to device
as digest user.

Download SIP application (eg Xlite sip phone)

Right click on the display and choose SIP account settings and provide below details
1-Display Name
2-User Name (Extension Number)
3-password
4-Authorization user name (End user login ID)
5-Domain (CUCM IP address)
